World Environment Day Celebration Tree Plantation
Dahej Eco-Friendly Society Celebrated World Environment Day – 2021 jointly with Gujarat Pollution Control Board, DIA & Forest Department, On the theme of ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION. On this occasion Regional Officer GPCB, Bharuch Shri Falgun Modi addressed member industries & done tree plantation with DEFS Trustees & DIA ECM
Poster & Slogan Competition as a part of World Environment Day Celebration
Dahej Eco-Friendly Society Celebrated World Environment Day – 2021 by organizing Poster & Slogan Competition amongst employees of member industries with the help of Rotary Club of Dahej & Aarti Industries Limited, in which total 40 Participants were participated & Winners were rewarded by organizing prize distribution ceremony.
Preparation & Launching of Local Crisis Group Offside Emergency Response Plan, Vagra
As per direction received from District Magistrate, Bharuch in meeting of District Crisis Group Meeting DEFS take lead to prepare Offside Emergency Response Plan for Local Crisis Group vagra, During the Exercise DEFS representative collected data from 23 MAH units Located in Dahej, Vilayat & Saykha, formulated & Analyzed the data under guidance of DISH officers. Launching Ceremony of Offside Emergency Response Plan for Local Crisis Group vagra was held in presence of Dy Director Industrial Safety & Health where DEFS Trustee Members handed over approved LCG Plan to Office of Industrial Safety & Health.
Cyclone (Natural Disaster) Management
Coastal area of Gujarat state was on high alert on17th of May, 2021 due to Forecasting of Taukte Cyclones Impact done by Metrology Department & Dahej was one of the High risk Zone due to existence of MAH Units, 1 Team of NDRF was deployed in area, by Coordinating with them DEFS succeed to overcome these natural Disaster without single small Accident.
Vaccination Camp with the help of District Administration in Factory Premises & at DEFS – Dahej
Vaccination Camp was organized jointly by Dahej Eco-Friendly Society & Dahej Industries Association with the help of District Administration, Vaccination camp was scheduled in Member industries premises and total 646 Employees were Vaccinated from 11 member Industries. Further Vaccination camp was scheduled at Fire-Station premises and total 342 People were Vaccinated from member Industries & Surrounding Villages.
Blood Donation Camp in Association with Rotary Club, Dahej& MFL
Blood Donation Camp was organized on 27th of October, 2021 at DEFS Conference hall in Association with Rotary Club of Dahej & Meghmani Finechem Limited. Total 32 Units of Blood was donated by employees of Industries Located in Dahej area.
Safety Professionals session on aspect of incident & future planning to prevent it
A meeting to discuss the various aspects of Industrial incidents like Fire & Explosions and future planning to prevent such kind of incidents was organized by Dahej Eco-Friendly Society. Session was taken by Mr. L K Dungrani Chairman – Quality Circle Forum of India for Surat Chapter.
Present guest was welcomed by Flower bouquet. DESF President welcomed participates and shared purpose & agenda of the session. Also presented data of past two years’ industrial incident in Dahej area.
Mr. L K Dungrani shared his valuable knowledge with participants on aspects of Industrial incidents as following:
- Damage to Nation Due to Such Incidents

- Installation & Maintenance of Fire equipment like Fire Hydrant & Extinguisher

Session was concluded with participative question answer session, Felicitation of Mr L K Dungrani & Vote of Thanks by President DEFS. During the session 65 participants were present.
Training Session on Chlorine Safety and Emergency Preparedness at DMC, Dahej on 12th July 2022
A training session on Chlorine Safety and Emergency Preparedness was jointly organized by Alkali Manufacturers Association of India and Dahej Eco-Friendly Society (DMC-Dahej) on 12th of July 2022. Session was taken by Mr. Harbhajan Singh Sehgal who is having 43 years of Experience in Caustic-Chlorine based Industries. 64 Employees of various industries were attended the session.

Session on Go Green for PCPIR
A session on subject of Go Green for PCPIR organized by Dahej Eco-Friendly Society (DMC-Dahej) on 25th of November, 2022. Sessions on different topics was taken by following experts. Total 54 Employees of various industries were attended the session.

Awareness Program on Chemical Weapons Convention at DEFS (DMC-Dahej)
An Awareness Program on Chemical Weapons Convention was organized by Indian Chemical Council in association with Dahej Eco-Friendly Society (DMC-Dahej) on 04th of January 2023. Session was taken by Mr. Raju Patel working as an Advisor Chemical Weapons Convention Helpdesk Vadodara, Indian Chemical Council.
Following representative of Indian Chemical Council were present during the program:
- Mr Raju Patel – Advisor, CWC Help Desk- Indian Chemical Council, Vadodara
- Mr Bijay Kumar – National Authority, Chemical Weapons Convention
- Ms Aarat Sheth – Head-Events, Indian Chemical Council-Gujarat
Total 76 representative of various industries located in Dahej PCPIR were attended the Awareness Program. Program was started with Inaugural Address by Mr. Manhar B Patel President-DEFS followed by Welcome of ICC representative, presentation by Mr. Raju Patel on the Topic, QUIZ on Test Paper, Question-Answer & Feedback Session and programme was ended with the Vote of Thanks.
Mr. Raju Patel shared his valuable knowledge with participants During the Awareness Program on following aspects:

Review Meeting by Hon. Relief Commissioner with District Disaster Management Authority of Bharuch District at Collector office, Bharuch
A Review Meeting by Hon. Relief Commissioner Shri Harshad R Patel sir with District Disaster Management Authority of Bharuch District was held on 12th of January 2023 at 10:30 hours with purpose to review Preparedness & Action Plan to handle any kind of Disaster or Emergencies at Video Conference Room, Collector Office – Bharuch.
During the Meeting Various Government Agencies and DMC’s of Dahej & Ankleshwar Presented their preparedness & Action Plan to meet any kind of of natural or man-made emergencies.

Relief Commissioner Shri Harshad R. Patel & Resident Additional Collector Shri N. R. Dhandhal reviewed all the aspects of Action Plans and gave their suggestions & inputs to improve action plan as well as to make it more effective during implementation while any incidents at the end of the meeting.
Eye Check-up Camp
An “Eye Checkup Camp” was organized as a part of 34th Road Safety Week celebration by Rotry Club of Dahej in association with Dahej Eco-Friendly Society, Dahej Industries Association, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd, Pururaj Petroleum (Essar Petrol Pump) on 17th of January, 2023 during 10:00 to 14:00 hours at Pururaj Petroleum (Essar Petrol Pump), Plot No: D-21/CH/47/1, GIDC Phase-2, Opp. Mirash Industries, Dahej, Bharuch.
An Expert team of Doctors & Medical staff from A&V Trauma Center Dahej (The GLOBAL group of Hospitals) arranged setup of eye checking facility at the Pururaj Petroleum with the motive to check maximum number of eyes of drivers & Villagers. Members of Rotry Club of Dahej, Dahej Eco-Friendly Society, Dahej Industries Association, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd were remains present during the inauguration ceremony of camp to encourage motive of this noble cause. During this camp huge Nos. Drivers & People of Surrounding Villages took a benefit of the camp, even Night Vision glasses given to drivers & other people whoever is required during the camp.
Road Safety Awareness Rally
A “Road Safety Awareness Rally” was organized as a part of 34th Road Safety Week Celebration Under National Road Safety Campaign with moto of “SadakSuraksh, Jeevan Raksha” by Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd in association with Dahej Eco-Friendly Society, Dahej Industries Association & Rotary Club of Dahej on 17th of January, 2023 during 11:30 to 12:30 hours. Rally was started from Dahej College & ended at Dahej Chowkdi.
The aim/objective of the rally was to create awareness among the public on following of road safety, During the rally Safety Slogan & Safety Posters prepared by team GACL was demonstrated & Road Safety Book distributed to Drivers & surrounding people. Before the starting of rally Food Packets were distributed to Students of Dahej College by Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd & Ball Pens were distributed to Students of Dahej College by Pragna Pharma Pvt. Ltd.
