Tree Plantation
The Dahej Eco-Friendly Society (DEFS) has been a driving force in environmental conservation and improvement in the Dahej area. Over the past two years, DEFS has spearheaded numerous initiatives, most notably the planting of over 2,000 trees. This significant achievement was made possible through collaborative efforts with key stakeholders, including the Gujarat Pollution Control Board, the Social Forestry Division, and the Dahej Industries Association.

Meeting of Local Crisis group-Vagra was held at conference Hall of Dahej Industries Association on 7th of February, 2025 under the chairmanship of Shri Manisha Manani-Sub Divisional Magistrate, Bharuch. During the Meeting following officials from various department were present.

The meeting focused on preventing chemical accidents and mitigating unforeseen disasters. Members discussed safety audits, mock drills and the need for better information sharing about hazardous chemicals. A proposal to develop an AI-based software for emergency response was also mooted. Manani emphasized the administration’s commitment to public safety and urged members to hold regular meetings. The meeting concluded with discussions on handling chemical leaks and fire incidents during transport, with emphasis on avoiding part loads.
