Virtual Training Programs

The Dahej Eco-Friendly Society (DEFS), in collaboration with its member industries, has successfully conducted a series of virtual safety training programs, demonstrating a strong commitment to workplace safety. These programs, spanning from April 2023 to January 2025, covered a wide range of critical safety topics, equipping employees with essential knowledge and best practices.
The training initiatives featured expert speakers from various member organizations, including industry leaders like Petronet LNG Limited, SRF Limited, Bharat Rasayan Limited, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Firmenich Aromatics, Tegros Chemicals India Ltd, GACL, Meghamani Industries Limited and many more. This collaborative approach ensured that participants benefited from the practical experience and specialized insights of seasoned professionals.
Key topics addressed included Lock-Out – Tag-Out – Try-Out (LOTOTO) procedures, static electricity hazards and control, risk assessment methodologies, performance measurement through lagging and leading indicators, liquefied natural gas (LNG) safety, permit-to-work systems, process safety management (PSM), industrial hygiene, and onsite emergency planning. The diverse curriculum reflects DEFS’s dedication to comprehensive safety education, addressing both general and industry-specific concerns.
By leveraging virtual platforms, DEFS maximized accessibility and participation, ensuring that a broad audience could benefit from these vital training opportunities.
