Eye Checkup Camp
The Rotary Club of Dahej, in collaboration with Dahej Eco-Friendly Society, Dahej Industries Association, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd, and Pururaj Petroleum, successfully conducted an “Eye Check-up Camp” on January 17th, 2023, as part of the 34th Road Safety Week. Held at Pururaj Petroleum (Essar Petrol Pump) in GIDC Phase-2, Dahej, the camp aimed to improve road safety by focusing on the vision of drivers and local villagers.
From 10:00 to 14:00 hours, an expert team of doctors and medical staff from A&V Trauma Center-Dahej (The GLOBAL group of Hospitals) provided comprehensive eye check-ups. The facility was set up at the petrol pump, making it easily accessible to drivers and residents of surrounding villages.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by members of the Rotary Club of Dahej, Dahej Industries Association, Dahej Eco-Friendly Society, and Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd, all demonstrating their support for this crucial initiative. The camp saw a significant turnout, with numerous drivers and villagers taking advantage of the free eye check-ups. Notably, night vision glasses were distributed to those who required them, enhancing their ability to drive safely at night. The initiative was a valuable contribution to road safety, promoting awareness and providing essential healthcare services to the community.
