Awareness cum Training by NDRF

Disaster preparedness training was conducted in Dahej, Gujarat, on December 28, 2023, as part of a district-wide initiative by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The program, held at the Dahej DMC, was facilitated by the 6th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and ran from December 22, 2023, to January 5, 2024, covering all talukas of Bharuch district.
The NDRF team provided valuable insights into mitigating both natural and man-made disasters. Participants learned about effective strategies for responding to various emergencies, including floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, and cyclones. The session included demonstrations of different disaster scenarios, showcasing practical response techniques.
A key focus of the training was educating attendees on essential “do’s and don’ts” during natural disasters. The NDRF team emphasized safety procedures and provided clear guidance on how to react in critical situations. Furthermore, the session included a practical demonstration of how everyday household items can be repurposed as rescue tools, empowering individuals to take immediate action in the event of a disaster. This hands-on approach enhanced the learning experience and equipped participants with practical skills to enhance their resilience.
