Meetings of Local Crisis Group - Vagra

The Local Crisis Group-Vagra (LCG-Vagra) convened three meetings to bolster industrial disaster preparedness. On June 13, 2023, chaired by Shri U N Jadeja, officials from various departments focused on mitigating fire, explosions, and leaks, providing guidance to industries on readiness.
On December 29, 2023, under Shri R. J. Shah’s chairmanship, discussions centered on safety, health, and disaster prevention. Shri J. J. Patel highlighted the importance of these mechanisms, and Shri R. J. Shah issued instructions to industry representatives.
The most recent meeting, held on February 7, 2025, chaired by Shri Manisha Manani, addressed chemical accident prevention and disaster mitigation. Participants discussed safety audits, mock drills, and improved information sharing. An AI-based emergency response software proposal was introduced
