The Dahej Eco-Friendly Society (DEFS) has been a driving force in environmental conservation and improvement in the Dahej area. Over the past two years, DEFS has spearheaded numerous initiatives, most notably the planting of over 2,000 trees. This significant achievement was made possible through collaborative efforts with key stakeholders, including the Gujarat Pollution Control Board, the Social Forestry Division, and the Dahej Industries Association.
These tree plantation activities have yielded substantial environmental benefits. They have contributed to improved air quality by absorbing pollutants and releasing oxygen. Additionally, the trees have helped to reduce soil erosion, safeguarding the land’s fertility and stability. Moreover, these efforts have enhanced the overall sustainability of the Dahej area, making it a greener and more environmentally friendly place to live and work.
