Awareness Session on Chemical Regulatory Obligations

The Regulatory Representatives and Managers Association (RRMA) launched its 2023 chemical regulation awareness program with a successful event in Dahej, Gujarat, on February 9th. This marked RRMA’s first Gujarat chapter event, part of a nationwide series. Organized in collaboration with the Dahej Eco-Friendly Society and the Dahej Industries Association, the event focused on “Chemical Regulatory Obligations and Awareness,” offering a global perspective on key regulations across Asia and Europe.
The program addressed critical topics, including 2023 obligations under EU REACH, the latest draft of the Indian Chemicals Management and Safety Rules (CMSR), compliance strategies for KKDIK (Turkey’s chemical regulation), and regulatory requirements under K-REACH (South Korea’s equivalent). Attendees gained valuable insights into the evolving landscape of chemical regulations, particularly in Asia and Europe, enabling them to identify crucial compliance requirements for their businesses.
The event facilitated knowledge sharing and practical application through informative sessions, a panel discussion, and an interactive question-and-answer period. This initiative empowers businesses to navigate the complexities of international chemical regulations and ensure compliance, contributing to safer and more responsible chemical management practices.
