34th CSR Forum on "Community Empowerment through Innovative Approach - A unique CSR strategy”
The Bharuch District Management Association, Dahej Eco-Friendly Society, and Dahej Industries Association jointly hosted the 34th CSR Forum on September 29, 2023, at the Dahej Eco-Friendly Society’s conference hall. The forum’s theme, “Community Empowerment through Innovative Approach – A unique CSR strategy,” focused on leveraging Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives for impactful community development.
A key session addressed CSR avenues within the agricultural sector, emphasizing four crucial areas. Discussions highlighted the importance of capacity building through mindset and behavioral change, empowering beneficiaries to embrace innovation and technology for improved production, quality, and skill enhancement via knowledge-based farming and value addition. Creating effective marketing linkages, both forward and backward, for enhanced livelihoods was also a central theme. Finally, the session underscored the significance of sustainable natural resource management and natural farming, aligning with the Indian government’s priorities.
Expert speakers Mr. Rajesh Dave, a UN speaker and advisor at FARMBridge, and Mr. Maharshi Dave, Director of FARMBridge, shared their insights and expertise on these critical agricultural CSR strategies. The forum provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to explore innovative approaches and best practices for community empowerment through effective CSR implementation.
